Daily, at sunrise, hot air
balloons drift peacefully over the Sonoran desert as passengers gaze at
unrivaled panoramas of the southwestern landscape.
Four local mountain ranges, Pinnacle Peak,
Lake Pleasant, and the Phoenix and Scottsdale skylines can be seen. San
Francisco Peaks, 130 miles to the north, is often within sight too!
Treetop-level flight provides an unusual
perspective of the plant and animal life native to the desert. At
lower altitudes, jack rabbits, cottontails, and quail are usually seen
scampering through the desert, and many times, close-up glimpses of coyote.
Some lucky aeronauts even spot javelina!
