The Patten Lumbermen's Museum was founded in August of 1962 by two retired gentlemen who found themselves compelled to preserve the history of lumbering and the men who worked those long winter hours in the bitter cold.

Lore Rogers and Caleb Scribner were to two gentlemen that opened this wonderful museum which has grown into 9 existing buildings full of artifacts and rich in lumbering history. 

Our Season runs from Memorial Day Friday through Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM , and June Friday through Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM , July and August we are open Tuesday through Sunday 10 AM - 4PM. September through Columbus Day ( OCT. ) hours are Friday through Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM.
