Rio Grande Theatre’s “Every Other Tuesday” welcomes Tucson Artist ~ Namoli Brennet
October 18, 2011

The Doña Ana Arts Council continues its popular Every Other Tuesday showcase with a surprise return visit by indie rocker Namoli Brennet on October 18, 2011. Currently receiving rave reviews for her ninth independent release, We Were Born To Rise—called “sophisticated, witty, well-written and beautifully recorded” by the Tucson Weekly--Brennet will bring her raw, gritty and achingly poignant stylings to the Rio Grande Theatre for a very special Every Other Tuesday performance.

Singer/songwriter Namoli Brennet has been relentlessly touring the country in her battered Volvo wagon since the release of her 2002 CD, Boy in a Dress. Based in Tucson, AZ, the enigmatic and colorful Brennet has covered over 30,000 miles and 45 states over the past 9 years, playing cities from San Francisco to New York. In between producing, engineering and releasing 9 CDs on her own label, Flaming Dame Records, she’s shared stages with Melissa Ferrick, Jill Sobule, Michelle Shocked and many others.

“Every Other Tuesday” is a free performance series produced by the Doña Ana Arts Council beginning at 6:30pm in the Historic Rio Grande Theatre at 211 N. Main Street in Las Cruces, NM.
