Asheville, North Carolina

Enjoy a Ski
Vacation without the Chill
A winter stay
in Asheville puts skiers, snowboarders and snow
tubers about 30 minutes away from the closest
slopes and just over an hour from some of the
highest ski peaks east of the Mississippi River.
The mountains’
high elevations allow resorts to take advantage
of natural snowfall and provide the perfect
conditions for adding man-made powder to the
mix. Meanwhile, Asheville’s lower elevation
means that the city stays relatively snow-free
for much of the season. Visitors can hit the
slopes by day and take in Asheville’s vibrant
culture at night.
