Equine and Wine Weekend! Fort Bragg, California

Join Ricochet Ridge Ranch for a fabulous weekend getaway, with horseback riding on deserted beaches and in the magnificent redwoods and a first class wine tasting tour in scenic Anderson Valley.

Your weekend stay begins upon your arrival at the MacCallum House Inn, located in the heart of Mendocino. This original Victorian mansion (1882) is filled with charm and romance. Why not enjoy a gourmet meal in their formal dining room accompanied by hand-crafted local wines your first evening?

Start each day with a hearty breakfast at the MacCallum House. Meet at 10 AM for a tour of Anderson Valley Wineries. Your luxury vehicle will travel through stately redwood forests, arriving at your first winery at 10:45 am, for a VIP tasting. After touring a second winery, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch, served at one of the scenic winery locations. Visit more wineries after lunch. Your evening is free to dine at one of Mendocino’s many restaurants, soak in the hot tub, or stroll the headlands.

On your third day, a short drive north takes you to Ricochet Ridge Ranch for your four-hour or all-day horseback excursion. Our beautiful horses are safe for all levels of rider, English and Western. Both rides include opportunities for riding through a horse ranch, a cattle ranch, past virgin redwood trees thousands of years old, and cresting peaks overlooking the Pacific, and riding on Ten-Mile Beach, viewing a variety of local wildlife.

After another relaxing evening, it’s au-revoir to Mendocino!

Prices vary depending on your ride and room choice at MacCallum House. Additional nights and extra riding are available! To book this excursion, please visit www.horse-vacation.com.  We are happy to customize this vacation to suit you. Christmas Eve Canyon Road Farolito Walk

Starts around dusk on Thursday, December, 24th

This beloved holiday tradition delights all who walk Canyon Road, which is decorated with farolitos (small, sand-filled bags with votive candles) and luminarios (bonfires). The joyous sounds of carols and friends and families greeting each other fills the air.  Canyon Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
