getaway takes you to a fabulous ski area
town, a quaint communities to browse
through antique and specialty stores or

The Southern Food and
Beverage Museum - SoFAB
Why a museum
dedicated to the culinary culture of the South?
Perhaps a better question would be ‘What took it
so long?’ And thus, The Southern Food and
Beverage Museum was created, a non-profit living
history museum “dedicated to the discovery,
celebration, and understanding of the food,
drink, and the related culture of the South.”
Lectures,
demonstrations, musical performances and
tastings all make for a rich – and often
delicious! – experience of the evocative,
intriguing, sweet, savory, historic and
cutting-edge food and beverages of the South.
The Southern
Food and Beverage Museum is in the Riverwalk
Marketplace [at the end of the food court] near
the Convention Center at Julia Street. Admission
is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for
students. For more information please visit

information.
