11th Annual Keene Ice and Snow Festival set for February 18, 2012 in Downtown Keene NH

Keene, NH 1/30/2012 – The 11th Annual Keene Ice & Snow Festival will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10:00am to 4:00pm in downtown Keene NH. This free day of family fun will include ice carving and rail jam competitions, snowman cookie decorating, s’more making, a snowball throwing competition with Ribby from the Swampbats, a lil tot snow slide and the “Roaming Railroad” train ride. Jayne Kelly, Walt Sayre and the Cheshiremen Chorus will provide musical entertainment and magician Ben Pratt will perform. Monadnock Imaging will provide free photos with Mr. Snowman and Polar Bear. Events will take place on Central Square, Railroad Square and Gilbo Avenue.

Watch ice carvers transform blocks of ice into sculptured art, then vote for the "People's Choice Award" for best ice sculpture.
Non-profit food vendors will be selling hot chocolate and other tasty treats. Enjoy lunch at one of the downtown Keene eateries and shop in unique one of a kind New Hampshire shops. Many downtown merchants and restaurants will be featuring special sales and menus during the event.
