Eagle Lake, TX. "The Goose Hunting Capital of the World" is also home to The
Attwater's Prairie Chicken Wildlife Refuge. The Tom Waddell Outdoor Nature
Club will host birding and nature tours to anyone who is interested! Check
the website for other points of interest, upcoming events, lodging, hunting
clubs, restaurants and much much more! We are a town of 3000 people,
we have a great park that you can stand on a pier and see live alligators.

The Tom Waddell Outdoor Nature Club (TWONC) is dedicated to the continuing
education of outdoor enthusiasts who love nature and want to see it first
hand. Eagle Lake is a mecca for birds! Not only do we have luscious
marsh/wetland areas but are positioned an hour west of Houston on the
"Edge of the Prairie" home to 25 nesting pairs of Bald Eagles, and located
along the "Central Flyway" migratory route to South America. We can
provide you with a "free" accompanied adventure or a mapped driving tour
to explore on your own. Jump into your boots, scrap on your binoculars
and grab your "Sibley's" and let's go birding!
