The Thunderbird Foundation is a non-profit
organization furthering the legacy of American artist Maynard Dixon
(1875-1946) by preserving his estate and educating the public about
his immeasurable contributions to American art.
Programs sponsored by the Thunderbird Foundation
include educational tours of Dixon's Mt. Carmel, Utah property,
internships for working artists, workshops and artist retreats, and
full day art workshops for people with special needs.
The Thunderbird Foundation hosts their annual
benefit event, Maynard Dixon Country every August, to continue these
worthwhile programs and to benefit the lives of today's working
artists in America.
We hope you will enjoy all that this site has to
offer as you learn more about Maynard Dixon and the Thunderbird
Foundation for the Arts.
